I had a quick look at the forum. Love the fact that the 'off-topic' section is still full of car and vehicle threads. These guys are obsessed! Not like me. I only shave a couple of times a year. Can't remember what I used the last time and to be honest I couldn't care less.

"Welcome to the Maestro & Montego Owners Club web site. The club was founded in the late 1990s and is dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of these two important yet often undervalued milestones in British motor industry history.

Members benefit from a range of services including an outstanding quarterly magazine, access to an ever growing variety of spare parts and regalia, free guidance on technical issues, and a social calendar that'll help you to get the maximum pleasure from driving a Maestro or Montego."

No shit!

Maestros, whilst undoubtedly hit with the ugly spade, rock.
1300cc would return 45mpg whilst carting round almost anything you wanted and having enough space in the engine bay to hide a family of illegals.
2000cc Perkins would quite happily tow the Queen Mary out of port.
2000cc efi was an XR3i eater.

Well that seemed to bring the thread to a crashing halt

Hey, if you want to knock Maestros for being fUgly rustbuckets dont let me stop you, but aside from the Stevie Wonder styling design they were not bad for the task in hand.
I like ugly old motors - hell Ive had more Citroen BX's than you lot have probably had BBS shaves from a Wilko's Laser blade (so that'll be 6 then  )
I still have a Cherry under a tarp in the lock up too, this thread has however got me looking at eVil bay for another Monstro :|
