UK supplier of Ted Pella blades?

Hi, are these available from C.S? I've looked on their site, they only have...

"GEM Stainless Steel Coated"

Are these one and the same??

Andy, I believe these are the ones:

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://connaughtshaving.com/gemss.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://connaughtshaving.com/gemss.html</a><!-- m -->

Compare the pack wit those from a U.S. supplier.

I picked up a few from the States via a guy on B&B and I have tried these from Connaught. I couldn't detect any difference.

Why not drop Paul an email or buy a 10 pack and try them out for yourself?

Cheers Tony, that looks like a winner. Do you know if the stainless steel ones have the ptfe coating. I love my se's but I find the blades I've got start to rust almost immediately.

I can't remember, I don't think they are the coated ones, I had just bought some personna carbon coated ones, the Gem blades only lasted me 3 shaves so I bought the carbons because they are cheaper.

Tony

I've been getting around 5-6 shaves out of GEM (connaught).

Although I have been stropping them after 3 or 4. Not sure if this is helping but it makes me feel good. :roll:

I use the T585 blades from Agar at work for general cutting jobs. I know they're sharp enough to cut fingers, and they shave arm hair fairly well, but I don't know if they're sharp enough to shave with.

I can send you a couple if you want to try them.

Digging up an old thread but it might save someone a few pennies.

I just tried shaving with Agar sourced blades in a micromatic.

It wasn't such a smooth shave, just passable with good prep,
but I get the feeling coated blades are the way to go.
