Some friends of mine used to frequent a club where they held a "forties night"...that's period not age. To really get into the spirit of things I lobbed a few incendiary devices at them , needless to say we are not friends any more.

I always get annoyed when an area such as Jermyn Street, which has evolved over many, many years is the subject to this "Disneyfication" because some jerk has decided that it needs to become a "shopping destination", thereby resulting in yet another identikit, plastic, anaesthetised parody of its' former characterful self.

Just to satisfy the perceived requirements of the average tourist.
