Timor DE

Just trying out a Timor DE in Gunmetal (OK I admit I bought it for the novelty colour) I have to say that I am very disappointed, it's the least aggressive shave I have had (I am used to Mekur 38C)

If someone has had any success with this razor, please post your secret.

I think they might be rebranded Weishi. I have a Weishi and it's very very mild. Try sticking a Feather blade in it and see how you get on.

Ok will do, I did try a 3rd pass with the same blade (7 o'clock) in the Merkur, it made a massive difference.

I can imagine! I've never tried a milder razor than a Weishi. Good to practice technique but not so good to get a close shave! What Merkur did you use?

I use the 34C HD (not the one I said above)

I have the long handle version of that in red. Very nice razor.

I had one of these, bought it for the "novelty" factor, and calling it mild is the overstatement of the century. It felt I still had a 5o'clock shadow after a 23 pass shave.

It got piffed...

And getting back on "quality" razors you mention in another post, this one definitely doesn't cut the mustard in my opinion

Well Timor blades are excellent but (it seems) their razors aren't. Mirror opposite of the other major German DE manufacturer, Merkur!
