Finally, after about 3 weeks it all came together today!
Prep: Shower + hot flannel for about a minute
Body shop synthetic brush soaking in my recently won old spice shaving mug
Soap: Palmolive stick - face lathered
Razor: Merkur 34C
Blade: Gillette 7 o,clock green
Lather seemed to be much more creamy and slippery than usual. Not sure if that was from soaking the brush for duration of shower. The mug also helped to keep the brush warm between passes.

Result - not BBS but the most comfortable one so far. I think I've been applying pressure. Today was the first time I wasn't trying to shave, just tried to get the lather off as lightly as possible. Very chuffed and glad I didn't give up a few weeks back. Looking forward to tomorrow :icon_razz:
