Won a bid for what I thought was an #16 Aristocrat. . . . .
It arrived this morning, and on closer inspection is a #21 in a #16 box.
It really is a thing of beauty.
The plan was to resell it to the yanks for £££ but I can't bear to see it goPics to follow.

Hi there,
Yeah, I can see you not being able to sell the thing. It's gotta be one of the nicest looking razors out there, and I actually prefer that model over the #16 far as looks go.
I've never shaved with a #21, but I have a feeling it would be similar to the US made later model Aristocrat types that I enjoy. It might be just a tad more aggressive, but probably not much if any. I think the #21 would fit me pretty well.
I'll use my #16 as a change of pace razor, but not for more than 2-3 days in a row. As you know, that thing is pretty heavy, and the weight adds to the aggressiveness a little more than I like. It would be a great razor for people who enjoyed something with a little more bite to it.
If you do end up selling the #21, us dumb Yanks will still pay serious cash for a beautiful razor, even knowing it's in the wrong box. Heh, I hope that makes you feel better........
Looking forward to seeing the pics,
Martin
