Ive got another Ikon.
That didnt last long then did it?

Nope.
I had a spare handle in brushed steel (one of the early ones) which was doing duty lashed to a variety of heads (last seen propping up a DE89 head), well I emailed Greg as I missed the Ikon head terribly and it turns out he doesnt make them any more. They were not popular. The upshot is, I have a brushed handle, a brushed base plate and high polished top plate.
Looks a little bit like the runt of the litter but as a result didnt cost a great deal.
Seems Im the only person in the world who likes a bit of standard head. I prefer the high polish finish, but beggars can not be choosers.
Anyway, just sold a book on the TSR-2 so thats given me a couple of quid to justify it. Also sold a few of my die cast cars too on eVil bay and my scooterped
No more impulsive purchases though for a while now.

What you really need is an original vintage circa December 2010 standard head iKon then. I wonder who would have 1 of them still in the original Thailand jiffy bag.

Well, if anyone decides to sell a high polish base plate at some point, I'll lob in a bid. Otherwise Im happy enough with my mongrel for now.

Used the Ikon this morning with one of my Bleue Extras.
God, I've missed it. What a lovely shave.
That and the J Petersons 1903 cream. Probably only got 1 more shave left of that then back onto prof B's Lime again.
