Suggestions please !

I’m looking for an efficient, heavy head but agile razor which will be a birthday gift. I’ve tried a 3one6 but the head is too light, i like the 6c weight but it’s not very agile, somewhere between the two would be good, I could suffer something with more ‘bite’

Suggestions please.

I was going to suggest this one as well, perhaps leaning more on the brass just because I love the look and it's still weighty enough.

There's a daily shavers kit available on the Karve website that comes with 3 plates
Chris would probably let you choose the 3 so you could go for SB-D&E and OC-D for example.

Aye the overlander has many fans but I haven't tried it so can't speak on that one. But as @Boycie83 says the D or E SB plates are good for efficiency (these are all I use when I eventually pick it up) and if they will let you pick them and you're able to get the D OC as well then you can't go too far wrong.

I had the Overlander (brass) but didn't get on with it. It had the suction/drag effect that drives me mad.

It has many fans though and I am but one opinion on the internet so take my comments with a pinch of salt.

The Hone SS is one of the heaviest razors out there. I had one and it shaves very well. Also the OverLander is an excellent razor.

To me, the Progress is what fits the bill. Heavy as you'd like with a very well designed head and unlimited adjustments to dial in the perfect shave. It's one of my favorite adjustables.
