I believe I have been somewhat overzealous somewhere along the line, I gave my Baurmann a thorough pasting (balsa strops, 1/.5/.25/.1μm, then leather) and got it maybe too sharp. At the same time I tried Cremo stick soap for the first time. Smells nice, and seems very creamy and slick, and I got a ridiculously close shave. Unfortunately in the process I overdid it somewhat or made a tiny angle error and managed to get a weeper under my nose and a nick on the chin that did not want to stop bleeding whatever I did (Proraso repair, alum, styptic, eventually good old bog roll). This is very rare for me and totally ruined what would've otherwise been a very close, if somewhat savage shave.
Luckily I don't do this often so no need to panic buy toilet paper chaps!
