.Quote.."But one must have some vices, nay pleasures, and wet shaving gear is a reasonably benign vice, or so I tell myself"...I second that wholeheartedly.

Congratulations..Have a wonderful evening with your good lady.

Saturday.
Prep: Hot towel
Pre shave: Prep
Razor: ‘The Rock' (Rockwell 6S – #3)
Blade: Gillette Bleue Extra
Brush: The 'Americana' (Shavemac 24/48 D01 2 Band)
Soap: West of Olympia 'Envy'
Post: Cold water rinse / Witch Hazel / Chatillon Lux Santal Auster Post-Shave Salve
Fragrance: Perfumerie Generale Cozé 02

just spent a week in Paris, and managed to find some Gillette Bleue Extra... I didn't find them as sharp as GSB's, but man, they are smooth.. Now, Envy.... right from the get go I've had high hopes for this soap, and guess what? It did not disappoint! Lush, slick, great protection... This was one of those shaves where everything just clicked, to provide a shave that has you thinking to yourself that it really doesn't get any better than this... finished off with Santal Auster Post-Shave Salve, and PG02 Cozé, yes, it really doesn't get any better than this... I've just two things to say to conclude this review.. firstly, the next time I visit Paris I'll be buying more GBE's, and secondly, I cannot wait until the next release from 'The Seven Collection'.... which has easily made it's way into my 'Top Tier' soaps.. colour me happy!

Simpsons Milk Churn
Rockwell 6S
Rapira Swedish Supersteel (2)
Stirling Soaps Stirling Blu
Nivea 2 Phase & Ralph Lauren Polo Blue

A nice Saturday shave today, everything worked well. This soap is supposedly based on Polo Blue, not that close to it in my opinion. More soapy scented than Polo Blue. I don't recall using this blade often in the past but it works well in the Rockwell.

Happy Anniversary.

Pitralon Original A/S Lotion

I needed to be ready to go quite early today and Sunday, as I was off to Meetings on both days.

when new so had a great satisfying Shave.

~SOTD~

I love the smell of mutton tallow in the morning!

Prep ~ Valbora Glycerlanolina soap, Shower
Razor ~ Cobra Classic
Blade ~ Proline P-30
Soap ~ Stirling - Sheep (Mutton Tallow)
Brush ~ Jagger Custom Boar
Post ~ Thayers rose petal
Scent ~ Mancera - Cedrat Boise EDP

My first use of the Stirling Sheep and I've got to say I'm loving the mutton tallow, it's too early to say for sure but I think it definitely adds to the lather in much the same way as the duck fat does in some of the Grooming Dept soaps, really slick creamy lather which helped the Cobra glide across my skin while mowing down the stubble.
The post shave feel was fantastic and felt only the need for a splash of Thayers on my super smooth and supple face.
I've ordered a tub of Stirling Glastonbury which is a scented mutton tallow soap but as my first unscented mutton tallow soap I'm really happy with "Sheep "
My scent for today is the very lovely Cedrat Boise from Mancera, Paris.

Have yourselves a relaxing Sunday people. P.
