Nice shave - proper old school scents - depending on your age - and where you grew up in the world - soap that is a dead ringer for Imperial Leather bath soap - and the classic Old Spice to finish. Just lovely - nostalgic for me. I'm into uncharted territory with the Aussie Spoilers - I don't think I have gone beyond 6 uses with a de blade before - single edges - sure - but with double edges - even my favourite vintage Iridiums or Polsilvers - would have been tossed by this point. Absolutely so sign of degradation with the vintage Gillette blades - it is all true - thus far in my experience - what they say about them. Seemingly immortal. Very impressive. My understanding is that - in the early - to mid - seventies - there was proper innovation and competition - among blade manufacturers - until Gillette won out - and realised - why are we making blades that will last 20 shaves? - thence - onto the path of multi-blade carts - and built in obsolescence. Patents renewed. Who knows? A great shave for me. Did I see a mention of Wickhams trialing a version two of the Super Smooth formula? - I hope so. Enjoy your shaves gentlemen - yours - I.
Oh - digimonkey's lawyers would have me point out - after receiving writs from the association for the protection of civets - the A.P.C - and the civet protection league - the C.P.L - civets are not a threat to humans - quite the opposite - Sherlock Holmes was never attacked - or in deed - threatened by a civet - in any way shape or form. I'm happy to set the record straight. Hence the picture above - cute - aren't they? Ha ha ha.
