First time using this razor which was kindly gifted to me, thank you Ian.
It's more aggressive then anything I've used before. The highest plate I've used on my Rockwell 6S is the R4 and it far exceeded that and performed absolutely fantastically.
'Timorem novaculi' - there appear to have been a few cases of this on the forum recently - man up dude. That's what they are for. Ha ha -I almost used my mint slim today, but just can't bear to use it.
edit - 'a fear of razors' - it might have made more sense in ancient Greek - something ending in 'phobia' - but I can't remember the word for razor. Open to suggestions from anyone who had a good classical education - which I didn't.

Razor - Leaf - Leaf a Shave Co ( On loan )
Blade - Hans Baier - Souplex ( Two half blades )
Soap - Signature Soaps - Lindis ( Lavender )
Brush - Simpson T3
Post - Signature Soaps - Lindis Aftershave splash ( On test for @BrianH )
Frag - Guerlain Jicky edp
Today I tried the leaf razor with just two half blades, one on the bottom and one in the middle and although I acheved the same BBS result as yesterday I had to work a little harder for it, it seems my tough grey stubble needs the three blade set up.
However it was still fun to shave with no skill needed and as I was half asleep this morning it was probably a good thing!
The soap was just wonderful, I love Lavender but this got me thinking...... If Brian was to add some Rosemary, Bergamont , Oakmoss and a little Peppermint he would have come up with the wonderful Oxford & Cambridge scent, Czech & Speake's take on the lavender scent which I really love! What do you say Brian? A limited edition soap maybe to celebrate the famous boat race, I would buy a box of it from you! ...........please!
Anyway, I live in hope......I finished with the splash which I am testing for Brian and I think he has nailed it! A lavender scent with a tingle followed by a really soothing feeling which leaves my skin feeling invigorated and thoroughly nourished. Good job Brian!
A couple of sprays of the wonderful Jicky on my pulse points and not only was I perfectly shaven I was smelling fabulous as well
Untill the next time, stay safe and be lucky,
Paul.
Looks like I've got another project. Someone else also said that. Will have to leave Oakmoss out though (EU Regs don't allow it).View attachment 56878
