Greetings

Sunday 4th May 2014
Prep: Shower
Razor: GEM Micromatic Flying Wing
Blade: GEM Blue Star Carbon
Brush: Semogue Barbear Classico Mistura
Soap: La Toja Stick Grated
Aftershave: Astral Cream (light)
EDT: CK Obsession

A lovely shave, first use of this new brush and already I like it, it is small but holds plenty of lather and gives it up easily, I'm sure when fully broken it will be one of my favourites.

Regards
Dick.

Swish! Clever angle to capture the brush and razor in the mirror. Are you also finding that the Veg is a perfect partner for Eucris?

Ha, the best I can do with an iPad and free editing app! The Veg and the Eucris do indeed go well together, a great suggestion. First use of the Eucris shave cream, lathered up very well and obviously smells great.

Hi there,

Never seen one razor with those sorta materials used or the blade design as well. Any other pics of that you might have?

Looks so delicate I'd be spooked to get the thing wet.

Thanks,

Martin

Sunday Evening

Another run with the Chinese Rhino blade ...

Hot Towel
Arko Stick
Kent Inifinity Silvertex
Gillette Tech (Stamped Head) templ8 Ball End Handle - Rhino [2]
4711 Echt Kölnisch Wasser

Face Lathered
Two Pass - WTG & XTG

Another superb shave from the Rhino! Again, almost like there's no blade in there, it just glides ... but close, even in a mild razor.

Hi Graham (Gairdner). How do you use the Shea butter? Do you melt a little bit or pull a piece off the block and rub it in with some hot water?

Nice tache by the way

What's doin NTS,

I think Big G is napping, but I can help with your question! I remember him saying how he will spread that shea butter on hot toast and stick a bunch of slices to his face all at once. Supposed to smell pretty good applied that way. He has some kinda netting set up to keep em all in place.

Removes the toast when cold and done deal.

Hope that helps,

Martin

Oh yeah........good pic Graeme. Always admired people who could raise one eyebrow at a time. Oh....you're doing that purposely I hope.

Boots shave stick
Omega 90065 Syntex shaving brush
Boots DE head on Merkur 25c handle
Perma Sharp razor blade
L'Occitane CADE after shave balm

I started using the Boots shave stick last year, then had a break from it to start using the L'Occitane CADE shaving cream in mid February. That is now finished, so back to the Boots shave stick which I've pressed down into the bottom of the white casserole dish which I use as a shaving bowl, placed in a large cup of hot water.

Prep: hot shower, Droyt's glycerine soap
Pre: Proraso green pre
Soap: MWF
Razor: Merkur 34C
Blades: Gillette Silver Blue
Brush: NF Tubby 1 Super Two Band
Post: Osma alum block, Fitjar Folgefonn ASB

Result: Blissful shave - best one to date (in my relatively short time as a traditional shaver)!
Close, smooth, comfortable and no irritation / nicks whatsoever - BBS with a final glacial menthol kick, courtesy of the Fitjar ASB.
Also, my first time shaving with the splendid New Forest Tubby 1 brush, which definitely had a major role in achieving such an outstanding shave. Highly recommended - thanks Peter!
