+1 for the Al Rehab Silver, great stuff for not a lot!Tuesday
Phoenix and Beau Star Noir
RazoRock Plissoft 24mm synth
Face lather
Fa Tip Piccolo
Personna Israeli Red
Thayer's Cucumber and Aloe Vera
Alt-Innsbruck EdC
Al-Rehab Silver
Whilst the Personna blade can be a bit tame in milder (smooth) razors, for me it really delivers with the mightily efficient Fa Tip. An incredibly close, smooth 3 pass shave aided and abetted by the Star Noir; which gives a beautiful rich lather.
I don't have the finely attuned nose of perfumistas but a few years ago, Mrs Scotshave got me a bottle of Creed's Silver Mountain Water for Xmas. It really is my favourite scent; but it does not last on me. For that price, I expected more longevity. I thought perhaps it was a faulty batch, but, a few weeks ago whilst being a flaneur around town, I popped into John Lewis and sprayed a bit on my wrist. 30 minutes later, I could detect much.
The point to this essay is that (with the nasal caveat referred to above) I honestly can't tell the difference between SMW and the Al-Rehab. Plus, the latter lasts one helluva lot longer
A top tier soap it certainly is, soo creamy and yes worth the extra cost. P.
Maseto Memphis 2 Band Finest
Gillette Tech
Voskhod (3)
La Savonniere du Moulin
Nivea 2 Phase & Aqua Velva
A pretty good shave today, I swear I felt the blade dig into my cheek, expecting a blood bath there was nothing. I certainly felt it dig in. Been a while since I used this soap, one of the best in my opinion. Certainly a top tier soap and well worth the little extra cost.
