Excuse my language ladies and gents.....but holy shit what a shave!
I'm continuing to experiment as I explore SE shaving and I've been reading a few other threads with interest, particularly those that are mentioning blade angle and riding the cap.
On my 1st SE shave I felt that the blade was a bit harder work when compared to my DE shaving. I noticed that it felt the blade needed pulled just that little bit harder.
Tonight I really took my time and concentrated on blade angle. I was riding the cap with the handle almost sticking straight out at 90 degrees. The blade felt smoother and I could hear it working away. I checked after my first pass and realised the huge difference it had made. My face was practically BBS and my neck wasn't far behind.
Rather than go XTG on my second pass I kept the angle the same and went straight into ATG. It was effortless and had me BBS all over. No need for a third pass or pickups.
A good rinse and splash with Thayers then my new favourite Floid Vigoroso. A good crisp burn. After my face had cooled I rubbed on a dot of Bart's balm just to feed my skin.
I mentioned before that I enjoy great shaves as it makes me want to try harder next time round. Well the last one was the best, this was better!
It goes to show what this forum can do for you! Thanks for everyone's advice and help!
Hope you all have a great week! [emoji1303]
