Gartbnx....
Thanks Boru62, that was the first walnut whip that i did but the 2nd and 3rd band spacing went wrong and the ones after it were made with 8 bands rather than 10.What a beautiful rustic handle. Very well done!
Pre: Warm water face wash
Brush: EJ Medium BB
Soap: Through The Fire, Devil's Cut
Razor: Windrose OC Slant

I stuck with this soap to see if I could improve on yesterday's performance.
So I loaded, loaded and loaded some more, same result as yesterday, the lather was disappearing faster than I could shave.
To make matters worse, this was a bad blade choice for a mild razor.
After a bad first pass, I decided substitutions were required.
The R41 was the closest DE razor to hand but I didn't fancy chasing vanishing lather round my face with such a beast, enter stage left, the Palmolive shave stick.
What a turn around, I'm as pleased as punch and smugger than Smuggy McSmugface.
Happy Shaving one and all.
Substitutions:
Muhle R41 (2013)
Palmolive Stick

With a Polsilver or a Nacet it's good, with the Carbon blades I find it too mild to be effective..Are you not to keen on the Windrose Darwin mate? I love mine and it's the first Slant I've tried too.

Prep: Shower
Razor: Muhle R41 (2013)
Blade: Ladus
Brush: Duke 3
Soap: Tabac
Aftershave: Simple Moisteriser
EDT: CK Obsession
Another very impressive Russian blade, whilst not the sharpest blade I have tried, it is plenty sharp enough for a perfect shave and it does have a 'velvety' really pleasant face feel. I like this blade a lot!
Regards
Dick.
