SotD: Saturday 19th April to Friday 25th April 2014

Bruce Springsteen Greatest Hits
Hot shower with Johnsons baby soap and shampoo :)
Palmolive Shave Cream
Face Lathered
Omega 49
Gillette Rocket HD
Bic Astor (PIF from Bechet45)
Three Passes + a Tidy up
Cold Rinse
Indian Alum Block
M&S Autograph Sport AS

Result Great comfortable shave and the best so far with the Rocket.
I am slowly learning that this razor needs a bit of respect pressure wise. I shaved with it pivoted between finger and thumb allowing it to use its own weight to find pressure and blade angle :)

I've still a LOT to learn about single edge shaving. I'd got away with it until I thought, "just another little clean-up" and got a little dink under my lip. It went with the alum wash.

I've really enjoyed this Filly, so thank you Jaycey. My Helly is on its way back from the Whetter so I'll let you have it back. Cheers!

The Edwin Jagger cream was fun. I've got one of their soaps, so it was good to try a cream. Just a blob massaged between fingers and onto a prepared face, it spread much like their pre/post-shave cream. Face lathered as per normal and the lather just exploded. Very easy.

Hot shower
Hot flannel
Razo Rock XXX scuttle lathered
Finest Badger brush made by myself
Gillette Aristocrat Junior
Gillette Silver Blue (2)
Cold rinse
Thayers Lemon witch hazel
Myrsol Antesol aftershave

A lovely shave. The Razo Rock XXX made some lather very easily and smells great, the Antesol made a fine partner to finish off the shave.

Hot Flannel
Proraso
Semogue SOC
Shavecraft 101
Gillette Silver Blue
Myrsol Agua Balsamica

First use of the razor and brush - time will tell. Brush definitely needs some breaking in and the razor seems pretty smooth. I don't think I'll be spending any more money for a while (fingers not crossed).

Chris.
