I hope you had a great weekend away P.

SOTD 201117

Blade: Astra SP #2
Razor: Muhle R89
Brush: Epsilon 24mm Horse hair
Soap: Natural Ireland Seaweed (On Passaround)
Post: Thayers Witch Hazel
EDT: L'Occitane Cade

I have been using some aggressive razors of late so today I thought I would give the Muhle R89 a whirl.
Two pass DFS comfortable shave. No irritation and a razor I would put on par with the Merkur 34c.

First time using the soap and my initial thoughts are extremely positive. Lovely scent, slickness and a wonderful lather whipped up using the Epsilon.
What a brush this is turning out to be. Great flow through, lovely soft tips with plenty of backbone.

Finished with the witch hazel and a generous splash of Cade.

Enjoy your shaves!

Saponificio Varesino Felce Aromatica

Pretty nice shave this morning, every day the Zenith boar seems to improve... For £10 (not inc p&p) they are a steal. On the fence regarding Felce, I nearly sold it the other day but withdrew until I'm sure... Performance is sublime but it's begining to smell like a cheap shower gel to me ...Come back Stella Alpina, all is forgiven!

A lovely time! Very relaxing ...and a nice surprise. One of our friends is an artist and my nearest and dearest commissioned the painting in the background. Seren....my dog has been immortalised on canvas
That's great, it's always nice to have a painting or drawing of your pet and it looks great P.

Hi Dick,
Hope the break was good.Coming back is the problem, the Cold does seem to get into our old bones.

Vulfix 404 mixed
Arran Aromatics Bay Citrus
ATT SE1
Schick Proline ( 8 )
Tuff Red A/S Lotion

After a series of very good Shaves with Injectors felt a change of pace was needed. Whilst Injectors are good IMHO they may be too easy to use and are quite forgiving apart from the E2, whereas DE/SE Razors are more challenging.

Today chose the ATT, and immediately liked its weightier feel. The first few strokes were really effective and indicated a good Shave was on. In fact it was really good, most likely helped by the little used soap, the lather never is never thick but it's provides a very slick surface for the Razor to work on. After the Shave my skin felt very refreshed, no Alum was needed and the A/S used was a good choice with no sting.

Monday evening

Soap - Santa Maria Novella
Brush - RazoRock BC Silvertip 24mm
Face lather
Razor - Fa Tip Piccolo
Blade - Gillette Nacet
Post - Thayer's Rose Petal and Aloe Vera
Smell - Alt-Innsbruck EdC

One day's growth mowed down by the Fa Tip. Complete WTG smoothness from the outset, after the first couple of strokes. Two passes would have sufficed; but why deny yourself? especially when using SMV; with its great smell and performance. Finished off with a splash of Alt-Innsbruck: tailor made for the soap, I think.

Merkur 34C HD
Shark SS (1)
Lime witch hazel
4711 Aftershave

I was expecting this razor to feel different with the Shark blade but it felt rough in comparison to the very smooth Astra SP.
Nonetheless, the shave went without mishap, and the finish is good
I haven't used the Le Bleu soap much, but it performs as well as my other Wickham soaps and the scent is nice
Finished with 4711 and I smell very fresh.
