First use of a modern SS DE, many thanks to Rob (@Blackmass) for the loan.
First impressions:
It's a beauty, very solid, compact and heavy. The heads a bit bulkier than vintage OCs but I've used bulkier heads without a problem.
I'm off for a shave BRB.
First shave:
Well, it's not just a pretty face, >30hrs growth gone, as Tommy Cooper liked to say, just like that, helped along by the super slickness of the Sudsy Soapery.
It's not as smooth as a couple of my vintage OCs but it was only my first go and I know it will get better.
Very impressed indeed.

I love the Klar soaps in their small tubs but as you say lathering from such a small tub is not ideal so I use a sharp pen knife and scrape waffer thin slithers from the top of the cake / puck into my lathering bowl and add a couple of drops of hot water to bloom and then lather up with a boar brush, works a treat.
Pre: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Semogue Owners Club Boar
Soap: Klar Sport
Razor: ATT Kronos M2
Blade: Personna Lab (1)
Post: Myrsol Emulsion
EdT: Penhaligon's Endymion
Gave the Klar Sport a first run today. It is a hard soap (looks triple-milled), so I used my SOC Boar to get stuck into it.
The soap comes in a small diameter tin - looks cute, but doesn't make loading very easy.
I to'd and fro'd trying to get it right, but in hindsight, my first pass was probably mainly proto-lather.
2nd and 3rd passes were much better, and a very close shave resulted, but the first pass had done the damage, and I had some irritated patches on my neck.
Myrsol Emulsion to the rescue yet again.
Any Forum members who have experience with this soap, I'd appreciate it if you've any tips to pass on regarding lathering this soap, apart from "Load it like you hate it".
