The last couple of days I'm shaving -- well, I do at least one pass -- with a shavette in order to acquire some base 'technique' for the real thing then. Moreover, I can get rid of the many blade samples I have as I change them very quickly. My only regret is that I didn't start some years earlier. Apart from the problem zones like the chin and Adam's apple -- especially the latter is the ultimative challenge -- it isn't as hard as I have thought, the learning curve is quite steep. And last but certainly not least, you get the best test of the blade and the shaving soap or cream, even a better one than using the R41 beast.
