Bleary-eyed but pleasant shave after the infant kept me up most of the night. Straight off to work for the 'voluntary' Saturday shift.

Blade: Gillette 7 O'clock Black Platinum
Brush: Boar Bristle (Unknown Maker)

Proraso Pre/Post (Original formula)
Feather Artist Club SS - Pro Blade
Simpsons Tulip T1
Vitos Extra Super Shaving Soap - Coconut
Witch hazel
Montale Black Aoud

A very intense week so no SOTD postings. A leisurely shave this morning and a little retail therapy (not shaving stuff though :( ) may be on the cards for this afternoon

Cold shower
Proraso pre/post
Himalaya shaving soap
Turkish No. 6 boar
Schick Injector
Proraso AS
Rene Kern ASB

Near-BBS. This Schick has all chances for becoming my travel razor, though it does take some getting used to.

Gillette Old Type
Bic Chrome Platinum (1)
Vie Long 13061 horse
Mitchell's Wool Fat
Witch hazel
Lucky Tiger Face Tonic
Penhaligon's Castile

A very effective razor that's really polished up beautifully. There's a crack in the handle but, in a weird way, I quite like that.

Nice frosty misty muddy walk with the hound....bit of bacon and egg then

EJDE89
Red Personna
EJ Badger
NGT grapefruit and cedarwood
Ogallala Bay rum limes and peppercorns

Have a good weekend gents.

Saturday:

RazoRock XXX
Semogue OC Boar
Slim Adjustable
7 o'clock Yellow
Witch Hazel
Pinaud Lilac Vegetal

Nice and smooth shave. First use of the Lilac Vegetal, it's certainly an interesting scent. Not sure it's for me.

Greetings

Saturday 24th November 2012
Prep: Shower
Razor: GEM Heavy Flat Top
Blade: GEM Stainless Coated
Brush: Turkish No. 6
Cream: Palmolive
Aftershave: Floid Balm

A super shave both in terms of closeness and comfort.

The Floid smells really nice, the label states it is a new fragrance, as I have never tried the 'old' (or any other Floid product) I am unable to comment regarding comparisons.

Regards
Dick.

Afternoon folks

Prep: Hot Shower
Cream:Godrej Rich Foam
Brush: EJ Badger brush
Razor:Unbranded, really cheap shavette
Blade: Seven o clock black super platinum
Aftershave: Alum block followed by M&S ' s aftershave balm

It#s my first experience with a shavette and it has been awful. Didn't have any cuts but a lot of razor burn and not a clean shave around the neck region

Prep: Hot Shower
Cream: Real Shaving Company
Brush: NFB Chubby
Razor: Merkur progrees Long handle, set on 3
Blade: Rapira SS
Balm: Vera Wang for Men

Wanted to try out this blade which I have never used before, and rather than risk using it in my R41 I went back to the Progress. What a shave!! This blade/razor combo was incredibly smooth, looking forward to a repeat performance. These blades are available for under £7 for 100 from Turkey on ebay, what a bargain!
