Tried astras tonight, defo good blades to have in the razor, really nice shave.
SS Flaretip purchased from timblake 'slick', really good razor.
Arko stik lathered in a bowl.Piffed from tardisbasher, thankyou again Alan Im really liking the shaves this is giving me.
Cold water splash
Marinade face for a couple of minutes and cast off, away we go. :shave
Two passes and a polish here and there with one of me techs.

nice,,,nice,,,,nice, stroking face over and over again, I cant believe its not butter

Im gonna try an old open tooth razor tomorrow that I traded with el slicko blakeo (he got it from James_uk), for some very special 'open tooth conversion blades' he said he wouldn't need it anymore if these blades convert his regular iron

Used the above razor last night with an Astra blade and Arko soap,,dissappointed with result, no nicks but just a bit sore afterwards and not a very close finish. I have used this blade (not the same blade)in the ss flaretip with good results but not in this open comb. Just goes to show that different blades may work better in different irons
