Inscribed? Where and how were they inscribed? I've seen a few, black and white, but none were inscribed.Sun 5th December
This Schick J3 meets the description of a Golden 500 and came in a case labelling it as one. However, was not inscribed as one, so is just a J3. Shaves very well especially with an NOS Dutch blade.

Well that's cool. What does the "500" stand for, did they only make that many?I have another J3 which has a loose head, which is inscribed Schick “ Golden 500”.

Further to my earlier response, I have looked at my J3 that came in a case labelling it a “Golden 500”. The Instruction leaflet describes it as a Hydro-magic 500, and the Razor is inscribed “ Hydro-magic”. Photos attached.Well that's cool. What does the "500" stand for, did they only make that many?
