Simpson brush sticky labels

Some people experience problems with the Simpson label. It has been suggested that you should paint clear nail varnish over the label to protect it. Seems an odd thing to have to do for an expensive product. If it is needed it begs the question as to why the makers don't put nail varnish on the brush before it leaves the factory.

Opinions welcomed.

Barbour include a lapel badge with their coats, but I don't need to pin it on to know I'm wearing a thing of quality.

Some people do though.

Why don't they just engrave "Simpson" as they used to?

Having said that the labels on mine seem to be holding fine without varnish, if they start peeling they are off.

Good point.

Most of the Simpsons have identifying marks etched in anyway, some front and back. Encouraging to know that Vulfix may have improved something Paul.
