when does it go on sale is my next question?
Just bought one
Just bought one
Indeed...Money well spent
Some months back the shaving world was in sadness with OSP ending production of their wonderful creams and soaps. Who would fill their space and who was good enough to take over their mantle as the best home brewed shaving soap out there?
Step up a one man band (all four of the same individual person) from Bolton going under the name 'Signature Soaps'. The mutterings started surfacing and so I decided to purchase their (his?) Hibernian hybrid soap and see what lie behind these rumours.
In essence the best description would be croap which seems to cover a thousand sins not covered by cream and soap. I do like my croaps (ADP Gomez Extro etc) so right down my road.
Nicely packaged in a screw top tin (not the plastic tub on the website) with a nice label reminiscent of home made jams at a village fete. The contents? Almost chewable and with a most wonderful aroma. Whatever it said on the tin the scent was exactly that. Not an end mish mash, but each individual fragrance coming to the surface. Great start
Moist Cadman Tuxedo swirled around and the pick up was so easy. No blooming and no requirement from a visit to the gym to create the lather. Mixed in a bowl and within minutes a mass of rich creamy lather. The scent remained.
Applied to one's face and a real sense of quality and happening. Apply sharpened steel and a wonderful feeling of comfort, ease and that nice glide quality one looks for. Neither did it get absorbed by my skin as some lathers manage and it simply remained of the same quality.
One complete shave later and no dry patches, just one wonderful great shave and a knowledge this soap played a big part.
Amazingly the scent still lingered
I will whole heartily give a big thumbs up to this soap and as good as anything previous.
Brian has done a masterful job and a new company like this who care about their products deserve all the support they can be given. I for one will be purchasing more soon and I wish him all the best with his business adventure.
Fills that little niche left by OSP wonderfully

Thank you for your feedback. I will be listing the smaller pots on my website when I get labels printedNow for the shave.
Firstly, I will always give a honest opinion, good or bad but it will be my opinion, I think it would help the maker of whatever the sample is to look closely and maybe help them find something better. It is not fair to just put great reviews if you do not really think it is great.
Ok, the scent was very good and got even better as I lathered it up, it lathered very fast, much faster than I anticipated and was a really nice smooth creamy lather, so 10 out of 10 for that. The lather was a superb painting type lather, no big globules to flatten out, it went on easily, stuck like glue to my face and lasted easily the time it took to shave, another 10 out of 10. The glide and cushion were also first class, I tried to find a lacking somewhere in this soap and really could not, so another 10 out of ten. It is defo a soap I will buy and reccommend to others, I love the idea of the smaller pucks as it lets you buy more scents instead of waiting 6 months to get a big puck down below the rim. Without doubt this will be my go to soap for the next few weeks at least, I really like it and rate it very highly....when does it go on sale is my next question?

Thanks very much, it makes it all worthwhileJust shaved with the lime and lavender so here's my review.
I went to work with the brush on the soap and 20 seconds later the brush was loaded. Then in the bowl with some water and a minute or 2 later a had a bowlful of rich, creamy lather.
Onto my face it went and the scent is as you'd expect, citrus and floral and very pleasant it is too. The Citrus is especially nice as I could feel the zing on my skin.
Onto the shave and the lather provided plenty of glide resulting in a very smooth and close shave. There was more than enough lather for 3 passes plus touch ups and at no point did it go dry or dissipate.
Now onto post shave and it is here where some soaps can really fall down for me. I find that some can leave my skin feeling dry but not a bit of it here. My skin was left feeling comfortable and hydrated.
All in all it's an excellent product, up there with the very best for me.
I will definitely buy some more in future, but could be a while as I've 2 huge "sample" tubs to get through first!
Thanks again @BrianH for sending me these to try and congratulations on making such a superb soap.
