Sherlock Holmes

I went to see the Robert Downey Jr /Jude Law "Sherlock Holmes" film a couple of days ago ,
there were more special effects than you'd expect in Sherlock Holmes , some interesting fight scenes (using Downeys Wing Chun ).
Law and Downey are a great double act , and its an interesting take on there relationship.
I must say I did rather enjoy it , and yes I would watch a sequel.

Many prefer Jeremy Brett. I am just a Sherlock Holmes fan ,glad to see him getting a bit of interest.

Please don't get me started on Star trek , the Kirk/Picard preference is easy . Who would you rather be ? Kirk of course , he always got the lady

... but Picard had something going with that blue Borg chick if I remember correctly. Quite the femme fatale.
Does the Holmes film use a Conan Doyle story, by the way?

No , it's not a Conan Doyle story.

It's a Ritchie movie so that raised some flags for me but it's supposed to be pretty watchable as he didn't have anything to do with the script which is a cor blimey rub a duck kneez up muver brown relief.

The DVD will be in the bar by the week-end; I'll check it out as you all seem to rate it highly.

It got 5 stars in the Times, a rare feat.
