What did you get?
I got some Crabtree and Evelyn Sienna Shaving soap. Lovely stuff, and a lovely bowl. That was from the parents.
ISIS Aftershave Balm from the GF

My brother got me a Nivea travel pack. So in there, theres Post shave cream.
Great, but theres also a small can of shaving gel. I squirted some out on my hand and it looked like i had just done a greeny on my hand!!

So what did everyone else get?

Shiny new slant, just had my first shave with it. Was a little rushed due to the general chaos around the house and I had some blood spotting around the neck but aside from that a lovely shave.

Also a selection of Real Shaving Co creams, balms and stuff.

I received from my nearest and dearest 100 Gillette Bleue Extra razor blades a very welcome tube of TOBS lavender cream and i also got a 2235 super Badger brush had my first shave with it very nice.

Officially allowed to open Martin de Candre soap about which more elsewhere soon.

Most impressed with my Texan daughter's research department because she found The Gentleman's Shop in Hungerford who sent DR Harris Arlington bowl and soap together with TOBS Avocado cream. And from a Dallas drug store she had bought and sent Van Der Hagen deluxe soap. This now makes 20 creams and soaps in the stash plus some refills.
That little lot will probably outlast me so I'll be concentrating on after shave products next year.

Fast delivery of a knot from Golden Nib means there will soon be another custom brush to be made by a colleague of ours.

Hope everyone had a great day yesterday. I broke the land speed record from the New Forest to Shoreham. Never done a long journey on Christmas day before. Morning and evening the traffic was heavy - but no commercial traffic meant no hold ups. Our home Christmas begins tomorrow when two daughters, sons in law and grandchildren arrive for a few days. No one will notice when I go missing for some leisurely shaves.

Edwin Jagger super badger (which sounds like a superhero name, and it should be)
Lovely lovely Proraso
Some Harvard aftershave cream which I believe is from M&S
The mystery straight razor I mentioned in the "Straight Razor" thread

Also got one of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Groom-Mate-...ef=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1261826458&sr=8-3-fkmr1

While not exactly shaving related, it's made by Dovo and it does remove hair from your body...

I got a rather nice brush which I have just written about in another thread:

Nice...sadly I didn't get any shave gear this year, apparently I have enough. :(

My family tell me they don't know what to get me and when I make it easy for them (her) they tell me I have enough.

Not too bad this year,

Castle Forbes Lavender balm (I have the shaving cream aleady - very good cream)
AOS Rose Water Toner

A relative who knows I shave with a DE but I don't see often bought me the Nivea pack in the toilet bag which comes with a face wash, a can of shaving gel and a balm. So far I have only tried the face wash and it's OK. What was more interesting was they had bought a bowl of boots hard shaving soap (apparently discontinued) and I am keen to try this, it has a subtle fresh smell.

This one here...

I know I couldn't believe it when I seen it, there is a review on B&B

Sounds like you can't win there, you will just need to sell the presents they give you and convert it to shaving kit

Mrs.M bought me a tube of L'Occitane Cade shaving cream.

Having read some reviews of it (most of them bad) I'm still plucking up the courage to try it.

Ian

I'm a bit late to this one, thats the trouble with having relatives all over the flipping country.
I received
1 x TOBS Lavender Cream
1 X TOBS Mr Taylor cream
1 x TOBS Mr Taylor Cologne
1 x Pecksniffs Leather Aftershave balm (From TK Maxx Ceri (My Wife) informed me £7.99 was a sensible price but the retail of £35 was a joke based on the ingredients list) It's bloody nice though!!
Edwin Jagger Best Badger brush V. Nice too

Not a bad haul for only being into this classic shaving for a couple of months.

Marry Christmas and a Happy 2010 to all of you.
