Shave of the day Saturday 15th-Friday 21st july 2017

Arthur,
Enjoy the Holiday, glad you can shave with the Guard, I tried it but could not get a decent shave out of it.
Have a Feather Neo 2, but have only used it twice, as I always Travel with hold luggage so take a Razor + Blades, currently a PAL Injecto Matic.Hope you find a Shop with some goodies.

Sun 16th July
RazoRock Plissoft 22mm
P & B Spitfire
Ever Ready Natural Angle
Gem S/S [ 2 ]
Alum Rub/Rinse Off
Puig Quorum A/S lotion

A very rewarding Shave today, using the British equivalent of the G Bar. I had forgotten just how agile this Razor is, and aided by a good lather and a second use blade I had a most satisfyingly smooth and close all round Shave.
I do hope that those who have brought the Blackland Sabre, are aware how good some of the more modern looking and inexpensive SE razors really are. I have just brought a bundle including a cased Natural Angle
for less than £13 delivered.

Yes I'm fully aware of how good the natral angle razors and other vintage Gem bladed razors are and I still think the sabre was a good buy and I don't think the majority who have bought the sabre are unfamiliar with Gem bladed razors, it is for this reason, their love of the blade and the razors that they bought the sabre.

I do not like the shave with the 1912 the blade feels to my face very harsh and I get razor burn no matter how light my pressure is. How does the Sabre help to tame the roughness of the Personna Gem blade @Paul? I want to own one but not until I've tried one so after the initial hype dies down and people go back to using other razors in their rotation I'll put a shout out to borrow one if possible.

The shave from my 1912 I find is very similar to the shave from the sabre so the chances are if you find the Personna Gem blade very harsh in the 1912 you will also find the same with the Sabre, you probably just don't get along with the Gem blade, a shame.

Sunday

Olive Oil soap and Man Cave Olivestone Facial scrub
3P Preshave Cream
Vulfix Lavender Shaving Cream
Vulfix Medium Synthetic Brush
La Barbiera Shaving bowl
Feather AC SS in Scotchwood
Feather Pro Blade (#4)
Organic English Lavender Water (Nice as it has to be stored in the fridge)
Jojoba Gold Oil
Ach.Brito Lavanda EDC

Lovely relaxed Sunday morning shave. I used a bowl to lather for the first time in ages. Two passes and a touch up to get a BBS shave.

Enjoy your weekend!

Karajan's 1963 Beethoven cycle is his best, I think.
