Body shop synthetic
Rose of Bulgaria cream
Gillette Guard #1
Tabac A/S
Lacura body moisturiser
1st holiday shave and the Guard gave a fair result. Probably the safest razor I have. I think it would be physically impossible to cut yourself with this.
I do not like the shave with the 1912 the blade feels to my face very harsh and I get razor burn no matter how light my pressure is. How does the Sabre help to tame the roughness of the Personna Gem blade @Paul? I want to own one but not until I've tried one so after the initial hype dies down and people go back to using other razors in their rotation I'll put a shout out to borrow one if possible.Yes I'm fully aware of how good the natral angle razors and other vintage Gem bladed razors are and I still think the sabre was a good buyand I don't think the majority who have bought the sabre are unfamiliar with Gem bladed razors, it is for this reason, their love of the blade and the razors that they bought the sabre.
The shave from my 1912 I find is very similar to the shave from the sabre so the chances are if you find the Personna Gem blade very harsh in the 1912 you will also find the same with the Sabre, you probably just don't get along with the Gem blade, a shame.I do not like the shave with the 1912 the blade feels to my face very harsh and I get razor burn no matter how light my pressure is. Thanks Paul, in that case I'll scratch all the new Gems style razors from my to own list. The shave from my 1912 I find is very similar to the shave from the sabre so the chances are if you find the Personna Gem blade very harsh in the 1912 you will also find the same with the Sabre, you probably just don't get along with the Gem blade, a shame.
Surely not! That would be as you say, shameless! You wouldn't be shamelessly promoting this thread by any chance?http://www.theshavingroom.co.uk/com...your-badger-and-boar-knots.43914/#post-653565
Shameless, maybe not, but very clever how he subliminally got me to promote it for himSurely not! That would be as you say, shameless!
Karajan's 1963 Beethoven cycle is his best, I think.Vegetal Soap - Lilly of the Valey
Proraso - Sandalwood Crema Pre Barba
Proraso - Sandalwood Sapone da Barba (Shaving Cream)
Omega - 20106 Boar
Facelathering
Merkur - 37C
Astra Superior Platinum (2)
WTG / ATG
Allume Di Rocca Naturale
Proraso - Sandalwood Lozione Dopobarba
Second shave with the Astra Platinum was very sharp and smooth. Better than the first. Perfect BBS in two passes. No irritations, skin feeling great. Beside the Feather Hi Stainless also the Astra Platinum works great with the Merkur 37C.
That Sunday morning shave was accompanied by Beethoven`s Symphony No 7 in A Major, op 92.
Beautiful part of the Symphony No 7, the Allegretto.
Full Symphony.
Do you feel used!Shameless, maybe not, but very clever how he subliminally got me to promote it for him
