Sotd - Saturday 15/7 - this shave brought to you in association with @Blackmass and @Burgundy

Razor - Merkur 37c
Blade - Supermax super plats (1)
Brush - Maseto 24mm Finest
Soap - Fitjar Havn (sample)
Post - Witch hazel
A/S - Old Spice original
Balm - BBA moisturiser (sample.)

Result - where to start? First use of the Maseto Finest - I was expecting good things after having got the silvertip but it exceeded my expectations. It's probably not broken in properly yet - I did 3 or 4 blind lathers with it. It didn't smell that bad really - I've had worse. I soaked it while I showered and shook the brush a bit, as I would do with any. Smeared some soap on the knot and set to work. Thin, bubbly and useless lather. The problem? I had completely under-estimated the amount of water the knot holds. Only one solution - more product. Equilibrium gained it worked superbly - a beautiful lather in no time. The face feel is excellent - nice soft tips but with the springy resilience a two-band ought to have. It's not quite as soft as the Vie Long Anniversary - the only other two-band I have (edit - this is wrong I forgot about the Stirling butterscotch - how could I, it's a great brush) - but this is not a fair comparison - either price-wise or because VL said that the Anniversary brushes were knotted with the best two-band they had seen in the company's history, and that's quite a while. All in all the Maseto is excellent. If you were toying with the idea of getting one. Go for it. I would be astonished - provided you get one that suits your shaving style - if anybody felt disappointed or short changed. Talking of soap - first use of a Fitjar product - and it really is a good performer for me. I'm not even going to try to describe the scent - as R. said - 'it's a bit unusual.' He wasn't wrong. I've read the manufacturers description more than once and it still makes no sense to me. 'Driftwood' - are you serious? I wasn't really sure about it when I fist smelled it but it grew on me quickly and by the end I loved it. The post-shave feel is first class for me. I probably could have skipped the balm. I had previously had concerns about the price of Fitjar soap - but having used it and realised how concentrated it is - it is probably pretty good value. A refill bar is going to last an age. Finished off with first use of a BBA product - very good. It did everything they claimed it would. I may stick the aftershave balm on the birthday list - I notice it has some devoted fans around here. A really great shave - BBS. Thanks again to the gentlemen that helped make it so. Enjoy your shaves - cheers - I.

Omega 11047
Fatip Testina Gentile
Rapira Super Stainless (1)
Monsavon Bol a Raser
Boots Tea Tree WH & Old Spice Whitewater

No time to shave this morning and I couldn't wait until morning feeling grubby so just had a quick one with the Fatip and for the first time ever I have used a Fatip and had zero blood or irritation. Adjusted my passes for a trial shave and it worked superbly. Forewent ATG on my upper lip and neck. Everywhere save my neck is beautifully smooth, I never look for BBS on my neck so a very happy chappy. First use of my replacement Omega and whilst it did shed 2-3 bristles it isn't like the original which shed 27 in two shaves. Still undecided on this brush, had high expectations and so far it's not matching them.

Bath / Nivea Men Active Wash
BBA Pre Shave Oil
Mason Pearson pure badger
Wickhams Irish Fern
Rockwell 6c ~3
Treet Carbon (1)
Hot/cold rinse
Peppermint witch hazel mixture
Proraso Green ASL
Dunhill Fresh EDT

Irish Fern just in today, thanks to @Looney12345 .
As expected it's a top performing soap. It has to my nose a quite complex scent that I found to be very pleasing.
Decent three pass shave with two elements not up to par.
1) I used a Treet Carbon blade.
I keep trying to give these blades the benefit of the doubt, but for me they're not very effective.
2) my old faithful Mason Pearson pure badger brush.
It's lost most of it's backbone. I've used it almost exclusively for seven years, so I suppose it's served me well.
I think I'll be in the market for a new badger come payday, and going by the gossip on here, it'll have to be a Maseto. (I've been avoiding this temptation for weeks)!
Finished off with Dunhill Fresh EDT.
This scent won't be everyone's cuppa but I like the fresh zesty aroma.

Great shave mate! The Wickham balms are absolutely incredible too.

Olive Oil Soap and Man Cave Olivestone Facial Scrub
3P Preshave Cream
RR 400 Plissoft Brush
RR Irish Countryside Soap
Supply SE, Plate 3, Proline-B (#2)
Alum Block and rinse
Homemade butter mix
RR Irish Countryside AS

No time to post this morning as I had a local show where I was showing my partner's horse. First time ever! That was the reason I went for the Irish Countryside theme!. (I originally come from N Ireland!) After a disappointing shave yesterday I moved to the more aggressive plate #3. Prep was taken to the limit and I finished with a really confusing shave. If I had posted this morning.....I would have said DFS+...........15 hrs on I still have very little stubble....In fact less than I would expect with most of my more aggressive razors. Feedback was more evident than I had with plate#2. The Supply seems to provide close and very safe shaves.

I am loving that keyhole brush @wayne mattison with the Maseto Knot.
Did you do that yourself?
Hi Wayne. The handle was turned by U.S brushmaker Vladimir Ferdman. He is on Etsy and a good bloke, easy to work with, a little quirky but he's alright. It came with a TGN knot originally. Great softness and backbone but they are just put together so sloppily they don't look good. I thought the handle deserved a good knot so I took it out and put in a Maseto knot. It was simple enough to do, no skill needed mate. I think it looks a lot nicer now too. Thanks.

Omega s10065 Syn.
OSP Bay Rum
PAL Injecto-Matic de luxe
Schick Proline Type B [ 4 ]
Alum Rub/Rinse off
Bay Rum A/S Splash

Writing this on Sunday morning as out yesterday, it is possible to assess how good yesterdays Shave was.
Very Good indeed, as indicated by the reduced amount of whisker growth I have to contend with. The PAL
will never be the mildest of Razors, but the use the proline calms it down, without reducing its efficiency.
