Saturday Afternoon

EJ DE89L
Derby Extra (3)
EJ Med Pure
Tabac Soap

Nivea ASB
Tabac AS

Three pass, face lather.

Very decent outcome; a couple of weepers on the way but the hot/cold water rinses and dabs of talc fettled them.

I have to say that Tabac soap is better, for me, when lathered up in a bowl.

Saturday
Tabula Rasa Dark Lavender SC/Edwin Jagger DE87 with Voskhod/Semogue badger/boar brocha/Art of Shaving Balsam

Prep: Hot shower
Brush: Simpson Chubby 2
Razor: C V Heljestrand B K 42
Soap: Nannys Eucalyptus
AS: ROMA
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Very, very clean

Wow, these swedes are sharp and this one is heavy enough to get you a good scrubbing, if not light on hand. Very nice shave!!

Hot shower
Kerrang Radio

EJ DE89
Gillette 7 O'clock yellow (2)
Men U Brush
RSC Cream
One planet Balm (head)

Sunday

Shower

Gillette Superspeed
Gillette Yellow (2)
Simpsons Milk Churn
Body Shop Maca Root Shaving Creme
Pinaud Bay Rum

Three passes

Went in to the Body Shop yesterday and they gave me a Maca Root Sample. Nice sized sample. Lathers up a treat and smells great. Well worth going in and picking up a sample.

Sunday, 04-03-11.

Soap from Aleppo 100% olive - Morris & Forndran Two Bands - Merkur 37C slant bar - Astra Superior Platinum #2 - Pre Myrsol Emulsión - Mitchell's Wool Fat - Alum block - Toner Thayers Original - Gel aftershave JASÖN 6 in 1 - ASL Stentson Black.

MWF Hand Soap,
Sir Irisch Moos SS,
Simpson Duke 3,
Merkur Classic/Gillette 7 o'clock(1),
Razorock Alum,
L'Occitan EdT.

Very smooth shave.
Still don't like the smell of the Moos but boy does it lather? :?

Express shave once again!

Prep hot shower
Semogue 2015HD
TBS Maca root SC
Mühle R89 + Red Personna (3rd and latest)
AS Biotherm + Floïd MV

A good shave besides of being in a hurry. Not so close to yesterday's one, but still decent. No irritation at all, but I have to admit that, being the first time I was using TBS cream, I took too much with the brush. I was expecting a TOBS-like texture, but TBS cream is more creamy. I'll be careful next time!

Enjoy the Sunday!

Sunday:

EJ de87
Feather
Trumper sandalwood cream (sample)
Muhle pure badger
Bulldog asb

Previous attempts with the de87 have been a bit inconsistent. Not today though - lovely smooth gliding and clean results. It must like Feathers

Jos

I completely forgot to shave today.

A couple of years ago that would've been a big deal.

Now, not so much.

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

1964 Macys badger (heh, yes, the brush is dated)
Eclipse/Iridium
Surrey SS (pre VDH reformulation)
vintage Hai Karate AS
vintage 'Ungaro2' EdT (Clement the cat would like this civet loaded stuff)

Second and last time using the Eclipse. Yep, two shaves was enough to tell me it's just not for me. I've used enough razors over the years to know what fits best, and this isn't one of those. Maybe I'll review it a little later. I'm grateful to Tony for the loan, and I guess I won't be keeping it after all.......heh.

BBS results,

Martin

Sunday
