cheapest VS5 as well, mind and get the 404 not the 404B which is the Pure badger ;)

yes, i think it is

i gave the Pure to my mate's son for his 18th as part of a starter kit.
he already had a Wilkinson Sword boar so i got him an alternative.

i mainly face-lather with soap, so for that, the mix is ideal.
if i'm trying a new soap or cream this is the brush i use for testing.

what do you use now?
 
At the moment a Duke 2 in best though this has been causing me grief due to its extreme hair loss [the gents here have kindly steered me towards Bret & Phillip at Vulfix to try and sort this out, haven't got hold of them yet]. Also a semogue 2000 that has a bad case of varnish break-up around the collar. Mmm. maybe time for something else. I do like the Simpsons, Vulfix, British brush style though, sounds like I should be looking out for a 404.
