Scutttle, bowl… whatever…

I would be interested in that, I would like a spout big enough to put the brush in though.

I hear steve woodhead does excellent work.

Hi Ids I'm curious as to why you want to put the brush in the spout? The spout in the scuttle is to fill it the 'inner' with hot water. I also fill the middle (where you mix the lather) with hot water and let the brush soak in it while having a shower. When ready I empty the hot water out, refill the scuttle inner and whip up the lather. I then rest the brush in the scuttle while shaving.

It's a piece of kit that I use almost every day - so don't let the spout size put you off enjoying some luxurious warm lather. :)

I didn't even think about putting water in the dish part! A bigger sprout was to achieve the same aim.

I really really really like looking at that site, but it's just the cost that makes me bite my knuckles. Now, if the euro went on a little collapse for a couple of days, i'd be in like Flint :)

I got mine from Paul a while ago. I love it; however (and this may sound daft) you need hot tap water. I mean HOT tap water. Otherwise it doesn't heat the scuttle properly and you'll be left wondering what the fuss was about and why you wasted yer dough. ;-)

i've heard about this thing they have down south that'd fix that

a kittle or kattle or something like that

sorry i'm just a poor uneducated jock

I use a traditional Old Spice shave mug - I fill it with luke warm water and soak the brush in it, then stand the whole lot in hot water while I shower. Then make the lather in the mug, and stand the brush in there between passes, and the lather is always kept warm. Simple but effective.

What i have is a Steve Woodhead Pottery Mug and Bowl, mine are in a cream colour and looks very nice in the bathroom too, the mug is just the right size for the brushes and the ridges on the inside of the Bowl help whip up lather in no time at all.

Steve will do them in different colours and styles etc etc, a few of the Chaps on here have them as well...

You can buy Steve's work through E-Bay http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Steve-Wood...45999319&_sid=883639309&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322

or mail him: steve.woodhead@yahoo.com

Just one suggestion for you anyway

;)

Thanks for this link, I think I will be getting a nice bowl from here. ;)
