Schick Type F Replating

I had sent my type F injector off to get replated and on another forum had discussion on how to remove the head. Some had said it was riveted on and were told that by someone that did plating and I thought I would get this posted here for anyone that's searching in the future to see proof of the facts and what you have if looking to get one done. They are indeed screwed on. Chris at Back Roads Gold is doing a handful of razors for me and sent the pics to show they are indeed screwed on and can be removed. Hopefully this will help anyone searching in the future as I was for info.

Never said anything about plating aluminum. Removing the head to replate the gold on it and the aluminum is removed so it isn't affected from the chemicals which would turn it black and it doesn't contaminate the bath as the gold isn't cheap.

Yes it appears he did those in Gold also which kills the contrast effect but it is what it is. Back Roads Gold is indeed in the states and on Etsy
