I haven’t tried the EdP. Another Penhaligon’s favourite of mine is ‘Lothair’.

It's spicier, somehow, but not as you'd expect. There's a sour berry scent to it which I think melds with the musk to produce a spicy dark edge. Jack Sparrow might have worn Old Spice, but his father Captain Teague would wear Rayan Black. In some ways, if Eucris had a pirate cousin it might be Rayan Black.
