Prep: Shower
Razor: Razor PAL Injecto Matic
Blade: Personna Stainless Coated
Brush: Semogue OC SE 2012 Mixed
Cream: T&H No. 10
Aftershave: Floid Balm

I'm late posting today as I was up early and off again to the mega car boot sale where the Darwins and Bottom dial Fatboys await in numbers to be purchased for 50 pence a piece..........alas today yielded as much luck as last week, zero shaving related items, not so much as a corroded Gillette Tech!

Regards
Dick.

Hot Water.
Nuage Shave Oil
Omega Boar
Palmolive Stick, face lathered
Gillette Tech, with "Dads!" custom Stainless Steel handle
Gillette 7Oc Yellow (2)
Boss Orange

Lovely shave, these Yellows have grew on since I first used them as a new DE shaver when the peeled my face raw! Fabulous in the Tech!

Prep: Proraso White
Cream: Dr Harris Windsor
Brush: Chubby 2 - 2 Band
Razor: Gillette New LC/UFO U2
Post: Village Barber Balm/444

Razor was a last minute decision as I had 10 days growth. Times like this I miss my slant. Still getting the hang of this new it's only second time out with me. Mowed down the whiskers no problem but got the angle wrong XTG and ATG. Result: smooth but sore.[attachment=10072]

Hot Towel
Arko Stick - Pure Badger
Gillette Super Adjustable Black Beauty [T1]
Gillette Platinum F1 (1985?) [2]
Hot Rinse, Cold Rinse & Alum Wash
Denim by Fabergé Aftershave

Face Lathered
Two Pass - WTG & XTG (9)

Wide open, what a great shave with the super lather from Arko. What a stink from the aftershave! In a good, retro-way, naturally.

Proraso green pre
Kent soap
Vie long horse
Merkur 34C
Gillette Silver Blue
4711 AS Splash

Still having bother with the Kent soap, find it drying out on my face as I shave. Tried face lathering with the horse brush this time (neigh bother) so I could add more water as I went. Ended up with a not too bad 3 pass head and face though.

Prep: Dove face wash
Shaving Cream: L Occitane Cade
Shaving brush: Edwin Jagger Chatsworth ebony synthetic bristle
Blade: Personna chrome 'red'
Razor: Edwin Jagger Chatsworth barley chrome with Merkur top plate
Post: L Occitane Cade balm.

I find using the razor with a Merkur top plate feels better than the EJ top plate, but using the EJ closed comb. The top plate is slightly more curved so it bends the blade more creating a steeper angle between the blade edge and comb. Overall, the razor has a better feel.

The Dove face wash has a very smooth texture.

Monday 31st March 2014
Prep: Shower
Razor: PAL Adjustable Injector
Blade: Personna Stainless Coated
Brush: Burma Shave boar
Cream: Body Shop Maca Root
Aftershave: Astral Cream (light)
EDT: CK Obsession

A really good shave from this somewhat 'difficult' razor, another one of those uncommon SE's and injectors that in my opinion need to be used daily to completely master. I find these razors quite angle sensitive and on low and medium they don't seem to cut very well but on high they are a little 'scrapey'.

Regards
Dick.

Prep: Hot shower, Savon de Provence Sandalwood
Pre: Tepid water splash
Brush: Vulfix Boar Brute
Soap: Ralph Lauren Safari
Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable M3 date code
Blade: Gillette Platinum #2
Post: Alum, Lucky Tiger After Shave & Face Tonic, Simpson's Vitalising ASB

Result: I'm finding it tricky to hit the sweet angle with the Slim, but when I find it, boy is it sweet. Looking forward to a week with the LUcky Tiger, it really does feel good when I splash it on. Safari soap performs well and the Brute is great to work with.

All in all a happy boy.

All the best, gents
