Saturday 28th February 2015
Prep: Shower
Razor: Star 1912 (USA)
Blade: GEM Blue Star Carbon
Brush: Semogue OC Badger
Soap: Speick Stick Grated
Aftershave: Astral Cream (light)
EDT: Grey Flannel

First use of this new brush and my initial view is I like it a lot, the first all badger brush I have owned for very many years, the knot is nice and stiff ideal for face lathering with soap, not super soft but that suits me very nicely (my last badger was a really soft Trumper Super badger and a 'flopster' akin to a wet feather duster.

I shall try not to get a love for badger hair I could have purchased two if not three good quality boars for this price, Oh well I suppose I shall be living off road kill and sugar beet tops for the rest of this month!

Regards
Dick.

Neutrogena Glyc bar
Vulfix 404 Mixed
Tabac Soap- face lathered
Gem HFT
Gem S/S [ 8 ]
Alum/Woods of Windsor A/S Balm
La Toja A/S lotion
MMOC v Other SE [ ER & Gem ]
A rare excursion with soap, achieved a fine shave with this Razor [even on 8], as allowed me to do final polish with no hassle. Not sure about pushing OC to 8 on same blade.

Greetings

We have two shave of the day threads and it clearly my fault as Burgundy had already started this weeks thread half an hour before me, I apologise!

Mods could the two threads be 'married up please'

Regards & Apologies
Dick.

SATURDAY MORNING

Razor: Unnamed Sheffield full hollow ground 6/8
Strops: Waterhouse linen\leather, Westholme Cordovan
Brush: Shavemac super badger
Cream: Wickham spice trade (bowl lathered)
AS: Lucky Tiger
Balm: GFT sandalwood skin food
EDT: AdP Colonia

If you fall off a bike get straight back on again! Used the same razor which bit me pretty badly a week ago.

It must have felt sorry for me as it gave a great three pass shave. Lovely.

Saturday

Afternoon, everybody.

Prep: Claus Porto's Lime-oil face soap
Razor: EJ DE89
Blade: Super Max Stainless (1)
Brush: Kabuki Bamboo
Shave soap: Kell's Aloe and Hemp, Sage and Juniper
Aftershave: Alpa Windsor
Cologne:

I used the Super Max Stainless that cheesepiece gave us the heads-up about - £2.79 for two hundred at the time, though it's £6.59 now. The shave was a little rough, but the result was a close, irritation-free shave. Happy days.

Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Proraso pre-shave sensitive
Soap: NSS - Vanilla (original)
Bowl: Fine Accoutrements
Brush: Muhle 23mm Kosmo synthetic
Razor: Micromatic Clog Pruf
Blade: Gem (1)
After: Proraso AS, Nivea sensitive ASB

First use of my newly acquired Micromatic Clog Pruf. I thought it was going to be a mild/easy shave but it turned out pretty aggressive. This might be becuase I used a new blade. I'll have to see how it goes over the next few days. It did deliver an irritation free BBS though but I can feel it may have taken off more skin than I wanted.

I don't think Nanny's Silly Soap gets the credit it deserves. Today's lather was glorious. I rate her Signature range over her original so when my pots are done it's going to be Signature all the way for NSS.

Enjoy your weekends, folks.
