Soap: Tabac
Brush: SirBrian 26mm 2 band Oak Tulip
Razor: Ever Ready Streamline
Blade: GEM Stainless
Post: Witch hazel + Tea tree oil mix

After advice from another Streamline user on the forum I took my time, concentrated on getting best the lather possible, making sure I was using the right angle and no pressure, things I had taken for granted recently.
Resulted in a great BBS shave. :)
Well done Ron. Am doing number 6 on same blade with Streamline. Then moving on to
Shovel Head or 1914 ?

Neutrogena Glycerine Bar
Victoria Pure Bristle Brush
Lea Menthol Cream
ER Streamline
Gem coated [ 6 ]
Alum Rub all over, rinse off
Lea A/S Balm

More than acceptable shave ,but really time for Blade change. Maybe a high price for these razors, but with practice give a smooth shave.

Cheers Mike. Good on you I've only been able to get 5 shaves out of a blade.
If you want a challenge I would go with the 1924, if you want an easy comfortable shave go with the 1914.

Prep: warm water wash
Soap: MWF
Brush: Body shop synthetic
Razor: Fatboy
Blade: Lord Platinum

Using my birth year d3 razor I got for Christmas and a brush I was given. The brush is very stiff and lathers up well in the bowl but does not apply to the face well you have to brush on the soap could get used to it but have other nicer brushes.
Really like the Fatboy to shave with nice amount of heft, but as others have said a bit tricky under the nose due to the head size. Enjoying the Lord platinums would put them in my top 3 blades seem to have just the right balance between sharpness and smoothness for me.

Wade & Butcher Bow Razor, 9/16 Full Hollow, Spike Point

Wade & Butcher. The old and very dear Wade & Butcher. Despite its age, this razor still proves to give a superior performance and an excellent shave. I am also liking PannaCrema Nostalgia Shaving Soap very much, a very good Italian soap, not to mention its smell - vaguely recalling my beloved Bay Rum - to which I added a generous splash of Myrsol Agua De Limon. Very refreshing!

  • Pre-Shave: Truefitt & Hill Ultimate Comfort Pre-Shave Oil
  • Soap: PannaCrema Nostalgia Shaving Soap
  • Brush: Wilkinson Bristle Brush
  • Bowl: Gerby Bowl
  • Strop: Mastro Livi Loom Strop and Hand Palm
  • Razor: Wade & Butcher Bow Razor, 9/16 Full Hollow, Spike Point
  • Post-Shave: Umbrian Extra Virgin Oil
  • After Shave: Myrsol Agua De Limón Aftershave

Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Murdock Avalon pre-shave oil
Soap: Wickhams hard-soap sample mix (Imperial Tonic + Dandyism)
Bowl: Woodhead Large Tall Scuttle
Brush: L'Occitane Synthetic
Razor: Gem Junior Bar + templ8 5cm handle
Blade: Gem (8)
After: Old Spice AS, Village Barber ASB

Still working through Darron's soap samples (in rotation with quite a few other soaps) and using up the last by swishing them together. These things seem to last forever! The synthetic brush worked very well with this soap.

Although the shave was pleasant, this blade's reached its end after 8 shaves (24 passes). Even so, no irritation and a DFS result.

I put it to you that this razor is the fastest loader in the (North) West. Push blade in under the bar then flip the tab down - job done. Anyone got faster?

Have a great day everyone.

Great face shave very easy to use very smooth :)
Head shave going great guns until razor slipped, slice behind ear :( now where's the syptic pencil. It looked like a sink full of blood but I'm sure it was only a few drops.
Note to self, don't get complacent, order some more syptic pencils
