SUNDAY EVENING

Prep: Hot rinse & Prep cream
Razor: Joseph Allen straight (I think this might be 6/8)
Brush: Frank Shaving Purtech
Soap: Mike's eucalyptus and lemon grass - scuttle lathered
Post - Witch hazel & Proraso balm

This is one of the razors I picked up from Northam Saint last week. Thought it felt shave ready so stropped it and gave it a run out.

I reckon it probably needs a bit of honing on a 12000 stone (which I haven't got yet). It gave me a DFS with no cuts, but there's a bit of irritation.

Nice to do a complete straight shave with no damage though (sorry Mart!)

Face Lathered
Two Pass - WTG & XTG

After a fencing injury yesterday, I can barely grip anything without pain ... let alone move my right arm around ... so, left handed shave!

It went well. Once again, I face lathered the 1902 soap and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thinner tonight, perhaps down to my left-handedness this evening, but slick, smooth and protective nevertheless.

The PAL Injectomatic is my "to go" injector. The angle is so forgiving, where a DE might not be in my other hand ... nor even a 1912. The PAL Injectomatic fitted the bill for this evening's shave and I was not left wanting. Good shave, finished the blade off.

How to make everything feel better? Bathe in "the Veg". Much enjoyed.

Decent shave. Started out using a new R41 for the first pass but it was to aggressive and resulted in a few weepers and irritation so switched to the R89. I don't think I will use the 41 again until I have at least 5 days growth. I face lathered with the Tulip but next time I think I'll use a bowl; not enough backbone to be efficient.

ER Featherweight
GEM PTFE (3)
Vie Long Badger/Horse
Old Spice Soap
Old Spice A/S (Shulton)

Used the full compliment of Old Spice gear today, from shower gel to hair cream - great stuff all round!

The featherweight, however, was not to my liking and gave me the worst shave I've had in months. Perhaps I'll need to try another technique.

Nice shave!

Crisp shave on a 2 day beard set on #7. G1 Executive - minty. Have better luck bowl lathering with this soap; got it to cream consistently in the bowl, but not much luck with a face scrub. Nice clean smell --- I think I'll rotate razors with this soap for the week.

Thanks Erwin!
