Soap : 'Lilac' created by John Hallock AKA The Mad Scientist
Brush : Simpsons Classic 2 Best Badger
Razor : Merkur 1904
Blade : Scottish Perma-Sharp
Post : Pitralon + TOBS Herbal Aftershave Cream
Fragrance : Geo F Trumper Ajaccio Violets

Fine shave! John's creations and scents are great, I believe he uses Arko soap then gives it a twist. Next up for me is his 'Honeysuckle Fir' soap. Also have a tube of Bozzano shave cream from Brazil! Anyone tried this one before?

Greetings Ian

That Bozzano shaving cream could be perfect for giving yourself a 'Brazilian'

Sorry I'll get my coat!

Regards
Dick.

Prep: Hot wash with dove soap.
Soap: Razorock Nervous Wreck.
Brush: Vie-Long Horse.
Razor 1: 9/16 ERN barbers notch.
Razor 2: Edwin Jagger DE89.
Blade: Rapira Platinum Lux #3.
Post: Nivea sensitive balm.

3 pass shave 2 with the ERN WTG/XTG, 1 ATG with the DE89. I had a couple of singing strokes from the ERN, never had that with any razor before.

Nice and smooth I did have 1 inch long cut which I was kind of lucky is wasnt too bad, i felt the razor catch, as soon as it did I stopped and reversed the stroke. Although it did bleed a little it had stopped by the time I finished the pass.

Have a good day folks.

Jim

Prep: Hot shower
Pre: Noxzema Cleansing cream
Soap: Krampert's Bay Rum
Bowl: Woodhead Tall Large Scuttle
Brush: MÜHLE Kosmo 23mm silvertip synthetic
Razor: Merkur Progress @2.5, 2, 1.5
Blade: Rapira Swedish SS (3)
After: Barbershop Bay Rum, Crabtree & Evelyn -Sandalwood ASB

Second use of Krampert's Bay Rum soap and it's the most authentic I've tried IMO - reminds me of Steve's Barbershop AS. Great easy lather performed exactly as it should. It did redden my skin just a touch but not irritating or long lasting. I also noticed that my skin feels tight afterwards which is unusual but not unpleasant.

Have a great day, folks.

Yesterday's second shave with the GEM Micromatic, that I had on loan, resulted in more irritation so has been gratefully returned to Dharte001. That's saved me a few quid... Or has it!??

That lilac smelt just like the real thing Ian, pleased it worked well for you. Hope the honeysuckle fir' is as good. Got me inspired to nick the wife aromatherapy oils and have a go.

Brush: Muhle Synthetic Silvertip
ASB: Boots Freshwood
