Special day for me and SWMBO so I picked her favorite scent on me (Opus 1870) and of course it had to be the "Silk Pajamas"!

On a virgin blade felt a bit harsh, and needed the Balm- but the finish was good . Realised how mild the G Bar was yesterday.

Prep: Hot wash with dove soap.
Soap: Professor Blightys Sandalwood.
Brush: The Grooming co. Synthetic Badger.
Razor: Razorock Jaws OC.
Blade: Crystal SS.
Post: Cien Balm.
EDT: XBolt.

Nice BBS 3 pass shave today, the brush performed brilliantly today, don't know if its because I am getting used to a synthetic now or cause its impossible to get a bad lather from Professors soaps. No nicks, weepers or razor burn, just smooth soft and great smelling skin cant stop feeling the smoothness. I had around 3 days of vegetation but the Jaws OC swallowed it up with no effort. It took a while to get used to the very long handle of this razor but I am getting great results every time I use this now.

Bulldog for men face wash
New forest silvertip brush
Wickham soap Sheridans soap
Muhle R89 razor with Personna red #2

Gillette Mach3
Whipped Dog
AÄ“sop Serum
No7 balm, USB
Guerlain Vetiver

The in laws bought me a bottle of AÄ“sop 'Moroccan Neroli Shaving Serum' - http://www.aesop.com/uk/skin-care-1/shave/moroccan-neroli-shaving-serum2.html - for Christmas. It doesn't hold a candle to proper shaving soap; the glide is fine but the protection is minimal.

Valentine's Day shave:

Cold water splash
Acqua Di Parma Collezione Barbiere
Shavemac 177 Silvertip
ATT R1 Kronos
Personna Lab Blue (1)
Myrsol Emulsion
Acqua Di Parma Colonia

Excellent, close shave. I don't think SWMBO will be diappointed

Hot shower
Wickhams spice trade soap
Omega 10108 boar
Schick L1
Cold splash
XS paco robanne AS
Nivea balm

My first shave with the schick L1. Makes a great sound as it cuts. Well worth the 6 week wait to get it from the states.

SATURDAY MORNING

Razor: Koraat 'Basic' (gawd knows why Ulrik calls it a basic, just look at it!)
Strops: Waterhouse Linen\Leather, Westholme Cordovan
Brush: Semogue 2011 LE boar 2
Soap: Stirling frozen tundra
AS: Lucky Tiger
Balm: GFT sandalwood skin food
EDT: AdP Colonia

Crikey, this is a really good razor. 20 laps on linen, 25 on leather and 25 on cordovan had it pinging hair like a good un.

Glided across my face and gave me one of the best straight shaves I've ever had. Smoother than Smooth Jack McSmooth.

Finished with a few blasts of one of my favourite EDTs. Spot on!
