What a difference today with the Supply SE , sensational shave.
I am now, "getting", it (thanks Blademonkey).....you really have to concentrate on the blade angle, the razor is so smooth that a few degrees either way and you're on the smooth metal and you're not shaving, hence my previous, patchy attempts.
The Sap provided a lovely slick cushion and that smell is something else.
No nicks, no burn, ...super shave.
Ain't it great to be alive........

Brush: Shavemac Americana D01 Silvertip
Razor: Gibbs No 16 w/ Muhle Razor Blade (2)
Soap: Geo F Trumper Spanish Leather Shaving Cream
Post: Thayers Rose, Nivea 2 Phase & Geo F Tumper Spanish Leather Cologne

Didn't risk the Gibbs blade and for my intial uses these Muhle blades are fantastic.Have had two great shaves from them, a bit pricey though if you were to buy them. Shavemac made light work of lathering the wonderful trumpers cream. Love this scent, don't use it as often as I should.

Mastro Livi RWL34, 9/8 Full Hollow, French Point, Black African Ebony

After having shaved for about two weeks with the prototype of Mastro Livi Club Razor 2017 - and, of course, after having returned to the legitimate owner, that is Mastro Livi - this Sunday I opted for this RWL34 razor. First of all, differences between the two razors: while the Club Razor 2017 gives a very close shave with a velvety touch, the RWL34 blade too provides a very close shave however with a more aggressive feeling. They certainly are two superb shavers, two different ways of experiencing shaving, however both giving impeccable and magnificent results. Today was also the occasion to use one of my favorite aftershave brands - Floïd - in this case the Spanish Mentolado Suave. Although I like the "Vigoroso" better, this one certainly is a very good lotion. Mastro Livi Best Badger shave brush had no problem at all in mounting a super rich and creamy lather from my homemade shaving soap. Not to mention how happy I am for the quality and performance of my "kitchen experiments" in making soaps.

What he said about the aloe vera gel - I've just discovered it and it works superbly for me. I use on my entire face after shaving as a general moisturiser. It won't cost much to give it a go. Cheers - I
