No.Did you notice any suction/drag from the cap when in use?
My Konsul arrived yesterday, and in anticipation, I've slobbed around and not shaved for three days.
I put a Perma-Sharp blade in it, and whipped up some P&B "Pall Mall", which I worked up to be on the moist, foamy, fluffy side, rather than the drier. This was on account of seeing a mention somewhere that the razor worked well with the soap used thus.
I set it to 2, and in two passes I had as smooth a shave as I've ever had. The razor glides smoothly, and there's a tiny bit of blade feel at that setting, but nothing uncomfortable. I normally have a couple of areas where almost every razor I've used misses a bit, but, to my surprise, this one cleaned up those easily.
My usual way of mowing off days of stubble is to reach for the R41 GS, and I didn't expect the Konsul to match the R41, but it certainly did, and it was a smoother and far less "exciting" experience than the R41. I'll be trying out different settings over the next couple of sessions, to assess it as a daily shaver, and that should be interesting..
Altogether, it's a very impressive razor. Although the cost is substantial, the fit and finish justify a bit of a premium, and the performance likewise.
