Just a note for anyone who might have looked at Nuova machines or needed spares but found them difficult to source.
My Oscar is a shade over five years old and has had a new washer on the steam valve and two new baskets...gets used once or twice every day of the year. Admittedly soft water helps and gets a daily backflush and general clean as and when but beyond that has been totally reliable. Not all coffee machines are.
Supplied by a really helpful firm in Italy and they've since sent the replacement washer and the baskets and they've arrived in a matter of a few days.
Would readily use them again and will replace the Oscar with another Oscar if it exploded tomorrow.
