Recommend a Watch Strap Please

Hi Gents

The Mrs and I have got our nephew some camping equipment for his first trip abroad. As part of the kit, we have got him a watch.

This one:

The strap it came with ( as seen in the pictures above) is a nice colour, but it is made of a cheap, slippery and glossy plastic-type material.

Can you recommend an alterative strap please?

The bright white numbers give the face some nice contrast, so we were going to go for a matt black strap to be on the safe side. Something like this:

But some of these caught the mrs attention:

http://www.monkeyswag.co.uk/g10-nato-military-style-watch-strap--coffee-20mm-978-p.asp

The mrs wildcard choice:

The watch has a matt black dial and a dark olive case.
Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Sonny

Try Tss Watchworx or Timefactors. Both do excellent Nato straps in different colours or try a nice rubber strap.

Very good for the outdoors and the wet and cold. Can be washed, rinsed as well if needs be.

Though check the WR on the watch or remove the strap.

Regards

Ben

Just search gasgasbones these are really good... Best I've had for everyday wear

and if its 22mm...ill send you some straps

Timefactors military straps are the absolute mutts nuts! Great offer by the Northern Gentlemen that is Olvin!

You guys are the best. Thanks very much. Placed an order for 1 each from the companies you hae recommended, that way he has 2 to choose from. He's just come out from a fairly long stretch in hospital. We hope he likes his trip and his new watch and straps.

Cheers again!

If that's the case send me your address and I'll send you a strap..James bond stripe. A brand new battery with a military watch fitted to it

Straps arrived today. Really nice. Has 3 steel fittings (see very first picture: http://www.timefactors.com/nato.htm), which seems 1 too many but no big deal. The speedbird strap colours are great.

Thaks again.

Just been browsing some of the pages mentioned on here.
Gasgasbones
TSS watchworx
There are about a dozen straps I like the look of. Not even got my watch yet, a Seiko divers I bought off here, but I thought I would treat myself to a different strap, but the choice is amazing. Maybe I'll leave it on the standard strap for a while until I decide.
