Have to admit. I am using it less as a pre shave recently. The cold feeling doesn't feel right before a shave.

I agree with all the positive comments posted about it, I've started using as a pre-shave before every shave, and find it softens the beard well. I don't use it post shave as a matter of course, but if I get any irritation it deals with it promptly and efficiently.

I've never found anything with such mentholocityness but the downside to that is that it totally over powers some of the more subtle smelling soaps and creams.
