Photo of the day

Reasons to use Leicas - part two - cloud inversion at dawn - from the west summit of Suilven - looking east - we did a bivvy on the top - I set my alarm for dawn - it happened so quickly - I was bare foot when I took this picture - no time to put my boots on. The picture can't convey the sound - like surf breaking on a beach.

Storm break - It has nothing to do with the cameras you use - more the lenses - all a camera is - is a light tight box that protects the film - if you have decent glass - you can point it directly at the light source - and it won't flare all over the place - costs. - I.

Stunning and very atmospheric...

Rangefinder porn -

Harsh - brutal light - Malaga. The Spanish sun - death in the afternoon - Hemingway was an arsehole - but you take the premise -

Softer light - Malaga - rainy day - must have been - I'm wearing a RAB jacket - I look like I am pregnant - must have stuff in my pockets - ordinarily - I present - as very tall and thin. Look carefully at this picture - the silhouette - of the guy in the reflection - in profile - in the middle - a gift from the Leica god. Didn't see it at the time - these things sort of happen when you use rangefinders - film or digital - better than the sum of its parts. You go work out the levels of reflection. One - upon two - upon three - - I.
