Was wondering, is the P160 soap as good as people say it is and if so why is it only available in 1kg blocks? Have seen smaller pots on an Italian website but not any I can find in the UK.
I dont think you will find it for sale at all in the UK.
It has been stopped being produced and was sold as a barbers product thats why its 1 kilo blocks anywhere you see it for sale in smaller portions the retailer is just splitting the blocks up.
It was a good soap but nothing that you cant get from other soaps for me anyway
First thing: P.160 is latherable marzipan, so if you don't care for almonds or wish to smell like a Bakewell tart, it's not for you. Very unsubtle stuff.
Secondly: yep, it is good in the same way as the other Italian soft soaps - very easy to produce excellent lather with good slip and cushion.
So, it's worth trying, but don't commit to a kilo without having a sniff first. PM me for a sample.
Can't say I have heard any hype either but then I only read this forum. I still have a bowl 3/4 full from the infamous group buy. Can't say I have used it in a couple of years but it was decent stuff. Heavy on the marzipan though.
