Lay off the booze, stop trying to blame oily skin!!

You mean like my special order of ascorbic acid powder did at my local Boots... got a call from Special Branch asking what I wanted it for... Told them it was part of a highly explosive use known as a "Grant Loaf" (as invented by Mrs Doris Grant - an extremely wholemeal loaf, that rises) and if I wanted to make explosives I'd be visiting a number of agricultural supplies merchants and doing off with 25kg sacks of ammonium nitrate, sodium chlorate and other items habitually left lying around on farms rather than a damned expensive 100g of ascorbic acid.

The middle line talks about stearates being bad - you know like in soap... could it be that NatraCare have an agenda and a product to push? Just a thought from a full-time cynical bastard
henkverhaar said:Can't think why it would be better as a cleansing method than a good soap/detergent, or a good solvent, like alcohol. Maybe the oil is better at gently 'drawing out' the skin grease...
Personally, I rely on water, and sometimes soap, to clean my face.

I feel that there is something going on HM. I am waiting for Henks words of reassurance though.

Siliconen (Dimethicon, Cyclomethicon).
Vaseline (Petrolatum).
Minerale olie (Paraffinum Liquidum).
Cetylalcohol.
Glycerine.
Stearinezuur is nauwelijks comedogeen.
Comedogeniteit in plantaardige olie:
Vrij sterk tot sterk comedogeen:
- Zoete amandelolie
- Druivepitolie
- Kokosolie
- Perzikpitolie
Enigszinds tot redelijk comedogeen:
- Pindaolie
- Distelolie (safloerolie)
- Zonnebloemolie
Niet comedogeen
- Avocado-olie
- Wonderolie
