Yup, I found that too, still it 'taint gone rusty so its perhaps not all bad.A word to the wise on Todds Cuts. I too bought one of their razors with the black/plain metal finish handles, which I think is the same as @Father Ted 's, purely for the handle, which looks nice enough and is supposedly stainless
Ha! My Todd's Cuts razor turned up today. The head went straight into the bin - curved guide bar, wobble between top and bottom plate - but the handle made it upstairs. It's cack though - the black had worn off many of the knurl points and it clearly isn't stainless worthy of the name. The thread is a bit off, too.
I thought I'd have another round of the SSSeygus, with the weighted handle, but a Feather blade this time around. It performed exactly as you describe. A very pleasant and well-behaved razor to use. This morning I stuck the cheapie handle a la Father Ted on my Seygus and a brand new Feather into it. The balance was a bit off but easily adjusted for and then I shaved in a carefree manner, like having as Astra in a Tech. Whizz! Whozz! Whazz! with a Feather!
This razor tames Feathers to give an easy, easy BBS shave. Superb!
By a roundabout route I became the owner of the Rowler's Dad's handle that was raffled last year. It's beautI need to get my dad out of retirement
