I've found that MWF has to be worked a bit for the best performance but this video has changed my shaving beyond recognition.

What a shame.

I love strawberries but can't go near them for hives.

We never know what doesn't work for us until we know it doesn't work for us.

For me MWF works - really well.

Only if you want to... it might dry out and crack a bit on the top but that's only a cosmetic change. I guess the smell might dissipate too - although my toolbox still reeks of Wilkinson Sword Blue Bowl...

Really Hunny! Thought you might have gone up market when attending to your toolbox. :icon_wink:

Hiya,

Yeah, it's a very good soap. No more difficult than any other hard soap to lather up, with a nice clean/soapy kinda smell. The scent's a little on the dull side, but certainly not offensive like some other stuff I've used.

I wrote to Mr Mitchell a while back, suggesting they add another soap fragrance to the line....something with a little bit more going on. I was thinking of an aged version of MWF.....kind of the way Brie turns to Camembert as it gets older. Maybe calling it Mutton Wool Fat.

Dodgy

While they're at it, how about a Diet version too? I've heard that the addition of Aspartame to a soap can make the lather particularly slick. Plus you can use as much as you like guilt free.

I really wonder how much of the difficulty lathering is due to the lanolin...

That was one of the easiest lathering soaps I've used - following Mantic's instructions to a 'T'. But again, I'm in Glasgow, water's remarkably soft here. Great lather also - by far the best among the British soaps. But the scent... :(

Kind of "mutton dress as lamb"?
